The cast of the National Tour of An American in Paris will put on a one-night benefit concert in Los Angeles to support the ACLU on Monday, April 3, 2017. The concert, called A Night of Light, will take place at 8:00 pm at The Prospect Theatre at 6356 Hollywood Blvd. in Los Angeles, CA.

Tickets, priced at $35-$100, are available at www.prospecttheatre.la/showsandevents.

A Night of Light is a cabaret concert and live auction, featuring performances from the multi-talented company of An American in Paris. Lead actors Garen Scribner, Sara Esty, Etai Benson, Nick Spangler and Emily Ferranti are all scheduled to perform, with some surprise special guests to be announced. This unforgettable night of song and dance will include music from Broadway, pop, and beyond. All proceeds will benefit the ACLU.

Benson, who plays Adam Hochberg on tour, is spearheading the event with the company. "Eight times a week, our company has the privilege to tell the story of a city rebuilding after war, of love and art and compassion prevailing in the darkest of times," says Benson. "In Act 2, I get to say the line, 'Life is already so dark. If you have the talent to make it brighter, to bring people joy and hope, why would you withhold that?'"

"To me, this line rings true now more than ever. I feel that we artists have a responsibility to stand up for what we believe in, to bring some light to these turbulent times. And that's how we came up with the idea for A Night of Light. It's a celebration of joy and hope at a time when people need it the most. And all of the proceeds will go directly to the organization that protects the rights and freedoms of all Americans, the ACLU."

Live and silent auction items will include signed Broadway memorabilia, original AnAmerican in Paris artwork, VIP tickets and backstage tours, behind-the-scenes experiences, exclusive An American in Paris auction packages featuring high-end offerings from local businesses, and much more, including the opportunity to "Win a Date with Ryan Steele."

Regular tickets for A Night of Light are $35-$50. VIP tickets are $75-$100, and include a glass of complimentary champagne. Please note that The Prospect Theatre requires a two-item minimum order per guest.

For those outside of the LA area who want to contribute, the cast has set up a Go Fund Me page for contributions: www.gofundme.com/aaip4aclu. Anyone who donates $20 or more on the Go Fund Me page will be able to livestream the concert.
