3000 Miles Off-Broadway Musicals (a division of Rock N Roll Inc.) proudly presents, DORIS AND ME: The Doris Day Songbook starring SCOTT DREIER at El Portal's Monroe Forum Theatre, in the NOHO Arts District, North Hollywood, CA. This special engagement will be presented July 24 through August 3, 2014, with a Special Gala Opening July 23 to benefit the Doris Day Animal Foundation.

Written and conceived by Scott Dreier along with Kurtis Simmons, DORIS AND ME is directed by Richard Israel, with musical direction by Bob Remstein.

DORIS AND ME is one man's quirky, lovable obsession with music and movie icon, Doris Day. As the ultimate, obsessed fan, Scott Dreier makes this more than your typical tribute show to a timeless artist, taking the audience with him on a sentimental journey to nostalgic times gone by. As he lovingly shares, through classic treasured songs, personal anecdotes, humor, heart, and many Doris Day stories and history, Scott Dreier never lets us forget how much he loves her and why he has become Doris Day's biggest fan.

Having grown up in a family where music, TV, and films were strictly monitored, Scott was somehow allowed to watch the Saturday Afternoon Film Festival hosted by Tom Hatten. This is where he first discovered Doris Day. She became his escape, always making the bad days brighter and happier with her artistry and joyous spirit. And this is where his love affair and obsession with Doris began.

Dreier has been touring with the show for two and a half years, including several successful runs at the Welk Resort Theatre in Escondido. He has also performed the show in Arizona, San Diego, Thousand Oaks, Rhode Island, San Francisco, and will be at the prestigious 54 Below in New York. It is particularly thrilling to be doing the show this year during Doris Day's milestone birthday year (she turned 90 on April 3rd !) and Scott was one of the lucky guests present when Doris surprised everyone by making her first public appearance in decades and coming to the celebration.

Scott has made his living as a professional performer for 20 years in theatre- having performed in over 50 theatrical productions -TV, commercials, voiceover, film, recording and cabaret. His self-titled debut solo CD of big band, Broadway and pop songs was selected onto the preliminary Grammy Ballot. Scott has been the guest vocalist for Pasadena Pops and has sung back up for Barbra Streisand. As a voiceover artist, Scott was the voice of Knuckles the Echidna for Sega Games, Sonic the Hedgehog for many years. He has appeared in numerous national and regional television commercials.

The Opening Night Gala on July 23 at 8pm will be a fund raiser to benefit the Doris Day Animal Foundation (DDAF). All proceeds will go to DDAF and additional fund raising will continue throughout the run.

If you're a Doris Day fan, DORIS AND ME is a must; if you're not, you'll be one by the end of the show!

Songs Included: Sentimental Journey, It's Magic, Secret Love, Que Sera, Sera, Everybody Loves A Lover (and many more)
