2cents Theatre's 3rd Annual Acting Act Ink Fest Opens Tonight

2Cents's Acting Out INK Fest is back for its 3rd exciting year!!! We are once again gathering over 100 artists for this 3-day event, from playwrights to directors to actors and street artists, to celebrate the FEMALE PLAYWRIGHT and ART! The Fest will kickoff beginning on Friday April 15 at 1pm at the Hudson Theatres in Hollywood, right in the heart of Theatre Row and the LA 99-seat community.

All showtimes begin at 2pm on Friday and continue every 90 minutes through Sunday night, for a total of 18 performances over the course of the weekend. And there will be special events scattered throughout, from a kickoff each day to our Feature presentations to the Opening Night Party & Closing Night Awards Gala.

ART will flood not just the theatre, but also the STREET! & the Hudson Cafe, serving wine & beer all weekend long. There will be so many artists of all kinds gathering to share their ART, you're not gonna want to miss a moment...

2Cents is a young non-profit theater company in Hollywood, fiscally partnered with Los Angeles Women's Theatre Project. The wonderful women of LAWTP inspired this venture to begin in 2014, with their dedication to the often overlooked female playwright. Several months are spent each fall reading plays submitted by women, reaching a selection of around 20 beautiful works, all unique and varied in subject, theme, characters, everything. Each year, our collection of INK plays means to represent the female artist as versatile, unpredictable, and ultimately undefinable.

The 49 ACTORS that make up the casts of ACTING OUT INK FEST are led by veterans Robert Towers, Laurie O'Brien, Julia Sanford, Eve Sigall, Eric Geller, Carl Weintraub, Deborah Cresswell, Will Brunson, Jennifer Ashe, Brian Carpenter, Aaron Lyons and Christine Joelle, and young talents Donathan Walters, Brett Colbeth, Brianna McClellan, Nicholas Rubando, Frances Brennard Roper, Phil Asta, Kate Bowman, Kevin Herrmann and many others.
