In an act of solidarity with his fellow compatriots protecting the red, white and blue, American magician Rob Lake recently marked the emotional close of his 10th Annual Tour, which saw him and his crew of 20 performers crisscrossing Europe for eight straight weeks, bringing his world-famous, eye-popping show to his Brothers and Sisters in the armed forces.

Through the U.S. Defense Department's Armed Forces Entertainment division, Lake transported his impressively spectacular show to American military personnel and their families stationed overseas on some of the most remote U.S. bases of Western Europe, including performances in the UK, Belgium, Germany, The Netherlands and Italy.

Over the last decade, through his mind-blowing illusions, Lake has commanded audiences of military personnel and their families totaling in the thousands across more than a dozen countries around the globe, from Norway to Greece and Japan and Australia, fostering morale by bringing them all a sense of home, in what might be his most powerful illusion yet.

"Because of their service and dedication, I can't think of a more deserving audience," he states. "These are people who can really use a little bit of magic in their lives."

The master illusionist who has dominated the world of magic since first becoming the youngest magician in history to win the coveted Merlin Award for "International Stage Magician of the Year" felt most impassioned to get involved by bringing his powerful gift to those men and women putting their lives on the line because of his grandfather who served in the Philippines in World War II, where he deciphered enemy codes.

"He was proud to serve under General MacArthur, and I remember him telling me of the many times he and those he served with were lifted up by entertainers from the states," Lake shares. "As I grew in my love of performance, my grandfather told me I should always find a way to entertain those who need encouragement."
