The Tony® Award-winning, international smash-hit musical Million Dollar Quartet opens at The Gateway in Bellport, NY, on Wednesday, June 8 and runs through June 25. Tickets start at $59. For tickets, contact the Box Office at (631) 286-1133 or visit the website at www.TheGateway.org.

Million Dollar Quartet tells a true story takes place on December 4, 1956, when an extraordinary twist of fate broughtJohnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Elvis Presley together. Sam Phillips, the "Father of Rock 'n' Roll," gathered the four legendary musicians at the Sun Records storefront studio in Memphis for the first and what turned out to be the only time. The resulting evening became known as one of the greatest rock'n'roll jam sessions in history.

Relive the era with the show's incredible score of classic hits including "Blue Suede Shoes," "Fever," "That's All Right," "Sixteen Tons," "Great Balls of Fire," "Walk the Line," "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On," "Folsom Prison Blues," "Hound Dog," and many more.

The Gateway production will be directed by Tony® Award-nominee Hunter Foster who played Sam Phillips in the original Broadway Company. Mr. Foster is an Artistic Associate at the Bucks County Playhouse, where he has directed, Company, Ain't Misbehavin', National Pastime, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Summer of '42, The Buddy Holly Story, and It's a Wonderful Life. Other directing credits include: Grease (North Carolina Theatre), Million Dollar Quartet (Ogunquit Playhouse),Spamalot (Casa Manana), My Fair Lady, and Cabaret (Cape Playhouse). As a book writer he has written the books to the musicals, Jasper in Deadland, which played at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle in Spring 2015 following its world premiere at Prospect Theater Company in NYC. Hunter also wrote the book to the Off-Broadway musical, Summer of '42 which opened at the Variety Arts Theatre in New York City and was nominated for an Outer Critic Award for best new Off-Broadway musical. Other recent book writing credits include The Circus in Winter (Goodspeed Musicals), Clyde and Bonnie: A Folktale(New York Musical Theatre Festival, Aurora Theatre), and The Hollow (Signature Theatre). As an actor, he has appeared on Broadway in The Bridges of Madison County, Hands on a Hardbody, Million Dollar Quartet, The Producers, Little Shop of Horrors (Tony nomination), Urinetown, Les Miserables, Footloose, Grease, and King David. Hunter is a graduate of the University of Michigan (BFA in Theater, 1992).

The cast of actors portraying the four legends in this jukebox musical certainly hold the likeness to the original artists. Elvis Presley will be played by Ari Mckay Wilford (Broadway's Once); Johnny Cash will be played by Christopher Damiano; Jerry Lee Lewis will be played by Dominique Scott (Rock of Ages Tour); Carl Perkins will be played by James Berry(Broadway's Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson); Sam Phillips will be played by Jason Loughlin (Broadway's The Audience); Brother Jay Perkins will be played by Sam Weber who returns to The Gateway after appearing in The Buddy Holly Story; Fluke is played by David Sonneborn; and Dyanne will be played by Bligh Voth.
