Soluna Studio Will Present CABARET this July

SoLuna Studio will produce the musical CABARET as a part their professional mainstage season, with performances running July 15th-31st. Audiences will "come to the Cabaret" and be guests of the Kit Kat Club during this immersive, interactive production. Performances will be held on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 3pm. CABARET is a musical based on a book written by Christopher Isherwood Goodbye to Berlin (1939), music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb. The 1966 Broadway production became a hit, inspiring numerous subsequent productions in London and New York, as well as the classic 1972 film by the same name.

Set in 1931 Berlin as the Nazis are rising to power, it is based in nightlife at the seedy Kit Kat Klub, and revolves around young American writer Cliff Bradshaw and his relationship with an English cabaret performer, Sally Bowles, and their friendships with German boarding house owner Fräulein Schneider and her elderly suitor Herr Schultz, a Jewish fruit vendor. Overseeing the action is the Master of Ceremonies at the Kit Kat Klub. The club serves as a metaphor for ominous political developments in late Weimar Germany.
