Heir apparent to the Marley Family musical dynasty, six-time Grammy winner, Emmy Winner, humanitarian, singer/songwriter and producer Ziggy Marley brings his Fly Rasta Tour to Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center on Saturday, August 2 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $75, $90, $105 and are available online at www.whbpac.org.

Ziggy Marley's joyful, mellow grooves are highly contagious. On his new album,Fly Rasta, Mr. Marley marries his own distinctive reggae sound with elements of rock, pop and funk to create stories with an innate sense of soul. "I'm looking to push the envelope, to challenge myself," Ziggy explains. "I have always wanted to travel far beyond the realms of expectations."Equally ambitious in its lyrical themes, Fly Rasta is a call to empowerment, enlightenment, freedom and, as with many of Ziggy's songs, the higher power of love. It's also a call to action for the planet Earth.

Involved with a breadth of charities, Ziggy leads his own, U.R.G.E. (Unlimited Resources Giving Enlightenment), a non-profit organization that benefits efforts in Jamaica, Ethiopia and other developing nations. The charity's missions range from building new schools to operating health clinics to supporting charities like Mary's Child, a center for abused and neglected girls.

Generously sponsored in part by Barbara Weisz in loving memory of John A. Weisz.
