Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts (PTPA) will welcome back Long Island psychic medium and New York Times bestselling author Laura Lynne Jackson for the psychic event of the year.

Laura Lynne Jackson, a Long Island native, is one of nineteen scientifically-certified psychics in the world and has read for hundreds of people connecting them with loved ones who have crossed to the Other Side.

On Sunday, Oct. 23, in a rare appearance, Jackson will conduct a special reading of the Patchogue Theatre audience.

When Laura was 11-years-old, she had her first psychic experience: a premonition that she needed to visit her grandfather one summer day. After that day, she never saw him alive again. At first, she was convinced that something was wrong with her. She began having dreams where she would see and speak with her grandfather; she would see bright and beautiful colors around people; and she could tell when something tragic had occurred and many were in pain. Over time and with the support of her friends and family, Laura learned to harness her abilities and brought the two sides of her life together - the high school English teacher and the psychic medium - through a scientific understanding of her gift and an appreciation of how her gift could help those coping with loss.

Laura Lynne Jackson has been endorsed by the Windbridge Institute for Applied Research in Human Potential, a scientific organization that studies paranormal phenomena. Her brain has been mapped by neuroscientists, and she's been put through a rigorous battery of tests from various organizations. Since 2005, Jackson has volunteered her services to the Forever Family Foundation, which is a nonprofit organization whose aim is to further the understanding of Afterlife Science through research and education while providing support and healing for people in grief.

Jackson is also one of the most requested psychics by the media and has appeared on "The Dr. Oz Show," "The Today Show," "Good Day New York," "Fox & Friends," and Oprah.com. On Friday, Oct. 14, Laura Lynne Jackson will make her second appearance on "The Dr. Oz Show."

Tickets for "Connecting to the Other Side with Psychic Medium Laura Lynne Jackson" are available online, by phone or at the box office. Ticket prices range from $45 to $65 plus the ticket service fee. There are a limited number of backstage VIP meet & greet passes available for $75, which includes a copy of the new paperback edition of Jackson's New York Times bestselling memoir, "The Light Between Us." Backstage meet & greet passes do not include admission to the event. For more information on Laura Lynne Jackson's psychic event, visit PatchogueTheatre.org or call the Box Office at 631-207-1313.

Patchogue Theatre first opened in 1923 as the largest theatre in Suffolk County. It still is, with the installation of 1,104 brand new seats during the 2016 renovation. Saved by Village of Patchogue in 1996 and lovingly restored it to its original grandeur, this beautiful and historic venue was in use 230 days with over 150,000 in attendance for its 2014-2015 season. PTPA is an independent community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that leases the building from the Village of Patchogue and covers all of the operating costs without any subsidies from the Village. PTPA's leadership consists of a volunteer board of directors and a small professional staff. Patchogue Theatre continues to thrive thanks to the hard work of over 80 volunteers as well as the businesses, funding agencies and individuals who support PTPA by contributing their time and resources. Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts is located at 71 East Main Street, Patchogue, N.Y., and can be reached at 631-207-1313 or by visiting PatchogueTheatre.org.
