Bringing a piece of home is the goal of Vegas based comedian Don Barnhart as he produces and performs The Celebrity Comedy Series for the troops.

Don Barnhart is currently on tour performing overseas for the troops in The Celebrity Series of Comedy For The Troops. Barnhart has been producing and performing comedy shows for the Armed Forces since 1992. His current tour has Comedy Legend and The New Mr. Las Vegas George Wallace.

What Barnhart hopes to gain from entertaining the troops is the chance to meet as many people as possible, make them laugh a little and bring a taste of home and the Aloha spirit to the men and women serving in the armed forces. "I always look at comedy as a sort of pressure release valve," says Barnhart. "It allows you let off a little steam and you can get through the day no matter how tough things may be."

The Las Vegas Review/Journal recently named Don Barnhart's comedy show one of their "Best Bets" and he just finished headlining the 2014 Laughlin Comedy Festival alongside Larry The Cable Guy, Dana Carvey and Maryellen Hooper.

Barnhart's in truly one of the hardest working comics today, averaging over 150 days a year on the road. He combines topical, well written material delivering it with an animated flair appealing to all audiences keeping them howling with laughter and coming back for more. Don has plans to shoot his comedy special The DeEvolution of Man early 2015 and is developing his act into a one-man show.

The award-winning comedian is currently in preproduction on the new comedy film, The Freeloader, which he wrote and stars in. The movie is set to begin shooting in Las Vegas in 2015 and is based on Barnhart's 3rd book of the same name. The Freeloader novel was inspired by Don's numerous comedy tours for the troops and is the story of returning Veteran Guy Derek. After losing his wife, house and dog, Guy hits rock bottom and in order to find his way back becomes the Robin Hood of The Homeless. The Freeloader Movie: www.TheFreeloaderMovie.com.

"I have to get in shape for the film", said Barnhart in a phone interview while headlining onboard Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. "And I mean military shape. My wife is thrilled that I may actually have a six pac on my belly and not in the fridge."

Over the last year, Barnhart's film career has really been gaining steam as he stars in the documentary, Finding The Funny with Brad Garret and Louie Anderson directed by comedian John Bizarre and plays a rather disgruntled, road weary and carefree comedian in the upcoming comedy film, Tribute To Fluffy directed by 1st time film director and USC film graduate Micah Cyrus.

Don is also the author of Comedy 101, Creating The Life You Desire and is a contributing author on I Killed: True Stories of The Road by America's Top Comics. He is a graduate of The Second City Conservatory in Los Angeles and is a certified hypnotist performing both a stand up and comedy hypnosis show. In his off time, Don is one of the most sought after comedy coaches in the industry, teaching stand up and improv at his Vegas based studio.

Besides being a regular headliner on the Las Vegas strip, Don Barnhart is a favorite performer for many of the top corporate events around the world including The World President's Organization, AFLAC, AA/NA, DARE and many more. He has been seen on almost every major comedy show and was hand picked for The Ice House's 50th Anniversary All Star TV Special. In 2007, Don was the Grand Champion in The American Idol Underground Comedy Contest and has been seen on MTV, Star Search, and Evening At The Improv and has been featured on ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC.

Don Barnhart will return to Las Vegas to headline nightly at the Riviera Comedy Club Dec 15 - 21st.
