"The music is there waiting for you; all you have to do is listen." So says Roy Horn, one half of the iconic entertainment duo, Siegfried & Roy. In recognition of their pioneering and inspiring role in Las Vegas's entertainment history, their commitment to the city of Las Vegas and in acknowledgement of their SARMOTI Foundation, the Las Vegas Philharmonic will honor Siegfried Fischbacher and Roy Horn at its 2014 Diamonds Are Forever Gala to be held tonight, March 1st at the Aria Resort and Casino.

"When it comes to identifying the diamonds of the Las Vegas community, they do not come any brighter, more dazzling or more genuine than Siegfried & Roy," says Las Vegas Philharmonic President and CEO, Jeri Crawford. "As inspirational entertainers, they showed what could be achieved when you dream big and become 'masters of the impossible,' and as Las Vegas residents they demonstrate a commitment to this city and to this community that is wide-reaching and heartfelt. We honor their philosophy of pursuing excellence, enchantment and magic every day."

Many of the Las Vegas Philharmonic's musicians perform, or have performed, in shows on the Las Vegas Strip where Siegfried & Roy headlined at The Mirage for 14 years. Siegfried & Roy's long commitment to producing an unforgettable performance extravaganza that included live musicians and original music provides an artistic link to the orchestra that will be celebrated at the gala.

The Las Vegas Philharmonic is currently in its 15th anniversary concert season and second season as a resident company of The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. The Diamonds Are Forever Gala is the orchestra's main fundraising event of the year with proceeds supporting the orchestra's concerts and education and community outreach programs, including its Youth Concert Series that provides free concerts to 15,000 fourth and fifth graders annually. In addition to their philanthropic work in the Las Vegas community, in October Siegfried & Roy announced the formation of their new SARMOTI Foundation dedicated to protect, conserve and preserve endangered and threatened animals globally.
