"We're thrilled to bring Miss Margarida to life at The Smith Center," said director Troy Heard. "We've wanted to do this show for a long time and finding Annette to play Miss Margarida has been a dream come true. Our team is excited to see where the show will take us and to share this unique experience with Las Vegas."

Written by Roberto Athayde, MISS MARGARIDA'S WAY transports audiences back to the first day of eighth-grade with the infamous Miss Margarida and her unique way of teaching, promising mischief and fun to be had by all. The audience becomes students under the iron rule of the tyrannical Miss Margarida in this dark comedy where she imparts her special brand of teaching with a focus on all the key subjects: geology, biology, mathematics and most certainly NOT sex education!

MISS MARGARIDA'S WAY was banned in its first production in Brazil for illicit content and has been dubbed "savage, mad, funny and ultimately moving," by the New York Times. The production made its Broadway debut at The Ambassador Theatre in 1977 starring the illustrious Estelle Parsons. Hailed by the New York Daily News as "part tirade, part political allegory, part expressionist vaudeville show," the show received a Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience and was nominated for a Tony Award for Actress in a Play in 1978. MISS MARGARIDA'S WAY was revived 12 years later starring Parsons and debuted at the Helen Hayes Theater in 1990.

Tickets for the limited engagement of MISS MARGARIDA'S WAY are on sale now and are available for $39 in person at The Smith Center box office, by calling 702.749.2000 or by visiting www.TheSmithCenter.com.

MISS MARGARIDA'S WAY is written by Roberto Athayde. The Las Vegas production is produced by Table 8 Productions and Alan Feldman and is directed by Troy Heard. MISS MARGARIDA'S WAY serves as a continuation of Table 8 Productions' series of immersive theatrical experiences that include JONESTOWN and the critically acclaimed MOTEL.
