How many shows in Las Vegas can boast having 3,000 "lap dances," 15,064 simulated org*sms, 122,684 hot flashes and 270,000 minutes of unbridled laughter spread over 3,000 memorable performances? The answer is only one and it is Menopause The Musical, celebrating its 3,000th performance Tuesday, April 16 at 8 p.m. at Luxor Hotel and Casino.

Menopause The Musical celebrates women on the brink of, in the middle of, or having survived "The Change." Since 2001, this hilarious show has launched a women's movement that superseded entertainment, empowering audiences and becoming a must-see event.

Set in a department store, the show follows four women who meet by chance with seemingly nothing in common except for a black lace bra. During the 90-minute performance the cast discusses hot flashes, mood swings, wrinkles, forgetfulness, night sweats and chocolate binges. The show consists of parodies of classic songs from the '60s, '70s and '80s and is filled with optimism and hope. At each performance, audience members discover that laughter can bridge some of the challenges of life.

GFOUR Productions, winners of 46 Drama Desk Awards and 37 Tony Awards, has produced the Las Vegas show as well as other shows across North and South America. Menopause The Musical, the longest-running scripted production in Las Vegas, features Paige O'Hara, who voiced the character of Belle in the DISNEY classic "Beauty and the Beast," Laura Lee O'Connell, who has performed in the musical nationwide, as well as Las Vegas favorites Lisa Mack, Kittra Coomer, Lori Legacy and Richel Kompst.

Menopause The Musical performs in the Atrium Showroom at Luxor Wednesday - Monday at 5:30 p.m. and Tuesday at 8 p.m. Tickets priced at $49.95 and $65, not including tax and service fee, can be purchased by calling (702) 262-4400 or visiting luxor.com.
