The Lon Bronson All-Star Band will celebrate a quarter century as Vegas headliners with an homage to the group's storied career one-night only with two shows in Cabaret Jazz at The Smith Center tonight, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. An evening you won't want to miss, many of the band's former members as well as favorite guest stars from the group's legendary 2 a.m. shows at the Riviera to current Smith Center engagements will perform with the iconic horn band.

Bridging the gap between old and new Vegas, the Lon Bronson All-Star Band has entertained a vast list of stars - Drew Carey, Penn Jillette, Tom Jones, the cast of HBO's "The Sopranos," Jackie Mason, Joe Walsh, Jeremy Piven, Sheena Easton, Tower of Power, Barenaked Ladies, Terry Fator, David Cassidy, and countless showgirls, dancers, specialty acts and comics - all of whom found safe haven after their own shows and many of whom ended up on stage with them. It was Carey who said, "This is a house band so good, you'll never want to leave the house."

Lon Bronson, who has been called Vegas' Ed Sullivan, is known for providing a late night, no-holds-barred, flying circus of entertainment. No two shows are alike, and no one is ever quite sure what or who might happen next.

Under Bronson's direction the band has enjoyed numerous national TV appearances including an HBO special with Drew Carey and a Comedy Central TV series (with the actors from "Reno 911" and "A Night at the Museum"). In addition, band alumni have gone on to perform with the likes of illustrious stars such as Frank Sinatra and the SNL band. Bronson himself received an Emmy nomination for musical direction of the TBS network special "Earth to America," which starred Tom Hanks, Faith Hill, Dustin Hoffman and Bill Maher.

Tickets start at $20 and are on sale at The Smith Center Box Office, located at 361 Symphony Park Avenue, by phone at 702-749-2000 or 808-326-6868 (TTY), and online at www.TheSmithCenter.com.
