GORETORIUM's closing came as a shock to couples who had prepaid for weddings at the year-round horror attraction located at the corner of Harmon and Las Vegas Blvd. With no refunds in sight and no way to change travel plans on such short notice, couples have been scrambling to find a suitable alternative that can still fit within a now-constricted budget.

EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL has stepped in to save the special day of as many of these couples as they can.

One such couple is Andrea Vasquez & Rob Park from Arizona. Their wedding was supposed to take place on October 18th, and with barely 3 weeks to go before the wedding they were told GORETORIUM was shutting down - and they were left to their own devices.

An already stressful time suddenly became a nightmare. 30 guests, travel plans already laid out, hotel rooms booked, and their zombie-themed wedding had evaporated without so much as an apology from GORETORIUM.

You might wonder what sort of person might want a zombie-themed wedding. You might think they celebrate Halloween all year long, dressed entirely in black and listening to goth-inspired music. If that is what you think, you'd be surprised to learn that isn't the case.

Rob and Andrea are in their mid-twenties. They met in a dog park in January of 2008, where they took their dogs for their daily runs. After 3 months, they were dating, and their dogs went everywhere with them - hiking, camping, and even family gatherings.

Rob's proposal came on Valentine's Day of 2011. He pretended to forget it was Valentine's Day until that evening when he surprised Andrea with a gift card to a day of pampering at a spa. And behind the card was Andrea's engagement ring.

The couple wanted something different for their wedding because, in Andrea's words, "traditional weddings can be boring". The couple share a love of dogs, each other, and WALKING DEAD - so they decided a zombie wedding would be fun and memorable. They finally centered on the Goretorium in Las Vegas, where they felt they had all their plans put together. That is, until the Goretorium closed and EVIL DEAD stepped up to help them out.

They have over 30 friends and family members coming to Las Vegas, including one of Rob's best friends who is an EOD in the Army and is coming from Virginia to celebrate the special event with the couple. They also have guests coming from Arizona (where the couple lives), California, and Michigan.

In addition to the wedding ceremony, the party will be treated to a special reception before the show starting at 8pm in the V Theater Veranda Bar catered by Hi-Scores Bar-Arcade, as well as a night of hanging out with the cast after the show at Blondie's Bar.

Members of the media are invited to the evening, where the couple, the cast of the show, and Sirc Michaels will be available for photos and interviews. Videos and pictures will not be permitted during the show itself, but are more than welcome at the reception, at the ceremony during the intermission, and at the party afterwards.
