"We are thrilled to bring THE LAST FIVE YEARS to life for a limited run at the Nevada Conservatory Theatre," said executive producer Dr. Keith G. Boman." This production has received rave reviews from critics and fans alike across the country, so it's a very special opportunity for the Las Vegas community to experience this production in an intimate setting at the Nevada Conservatory Theatre."

Jason Robert Brown's contemporary musical THE LAST FIVE YEARS tells the emotionally powerful story of two twenty-something New Yorkers who dive head first into a marriage fueled by the optimism that comes with finding "the one." But in a city where professional and personal passions collide and only the strongest relationships survive, navigating the waters of love and matrimony can sometimes prove too much. Cathy, a struggling actress and Jamie an up and coming novelist tell the story in a unique progression with Cathy starting end of their marriage going backward and Jamie telling it from the beginning of a blossoming relationship. Funny, honest and intimate, with an exuberantly romantic score, THE LAST FIVE YEARS takes a bold look at one young couple's hope that love endures the test of time.

THE LAST FIVE YEARS premiered off-Broadway at the Minetta Lane Theatre in 2002 in a production starring Norbert Leo Butz and Sherie Rene Scott, directed by Daisy Prince. Named as one of Time Magazine's "Ten Best of the Year," the musical received the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Music and Outstanding Lyrics, and was nominated for five additional Drama Desk Awards, including Outstanding Musical. THE LAST FIVE YEARS was also nominated for the Outer Critics Circle Award and the Lortel Award for Outstanding Musical. The musical was later revived in 2013 and played off-Broadway at the Second Stage Theater, starring Adam Kantor and Betsy Wolfe. The production was extended twice, setting records as one of the longest-running productions in Second Stage Theater's 34 year history.

"THE LAST FIVE YEARS is a unique addition to our 2014-2015 season and we are very excited to open our doors to such a wonderful production," said Nevada Conservatory Theatre Executive Director Brackley Frayer. "The Nevada Conservatory Theatre prides itself on presenting world-class productions and this certainly fits that bill."

Single tickets for all performances are on sale now and are available for $30 by calling the UNLV Performing Arts Center box office directly at 702-895-2787. A limited number of VIP tickets for the evening performances will be available for $50 and include a backstage tour and meet and greet with the cast.
