The Lyceum turns dark and mysterious with Agatha Christie's Black Coffee from August 6th - 13th

Although Black Coffee was Agatha Christie's first mystery to appear on the stage, all of her classic hallmarks were already present, including the great detective, Hercule Poirot. It's 1934 and England's most important physicist, Sir Claud Amory, is fearful that someone in his household is trying to steal his secret formula - critical for England's defense - and summons Poirot to help him. Before he can arrive, however, Amory is poisoned, by his coffee naturally, and the formula is missing.

Left with a murder and threat to the security of England, Poirot must unravel a tangle of family feuds, old flames and suspicious outsiders to find the killer and prevent a global catastrophe.

Playing the role of Detective Poirot is Michael Rothhaar. In 2010 Mr. Rothhaar appeared at the Lyceum in The Man Who Came To Dinner and And Then There Were None and directed My Fair Lady. In 2009 Michael made his Lyceum debut in You Can't Take It With You.
