"EQUUS" is the next production at the Barn Players, 6219 Martway in Mission, Kansas (suburban Kansas City) tonight, July 31st through August 16th - Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 and Sunday matinees at 2:00.

The unique play was written by British playwright Peter Shaffer and has received numerous awards since first appearing on Broadway in 1973; including a Tony Award for the Best Play on Broadway and the NY Drama Critic's Award. "EQUUS" is a thought-provoking play about a boy who has blinded six horses; Dr. Martin Dysart is a psychiatrist attempting to understand the reasons behind the boy's actions and who is also facing his own complex sense of purpose. The play has become a timeless classic and is a cornerstone of contemporary drama.

At the Barn Players the show is directed by Diane Bulan and features Paul Orwick, J. Will Fritz, Sean Leistico, Michele Cotton, Dee Dee Diemer, Alisa Lynn, Walter Winch, Richard Burt, Meghann Deveroux and in the chorus Nataleigh Brull, Julie Miller and Andy Venemman.

Tickets are $18.00 and may be purchased on the theatre website www.thebarnplayers.org or at the theater box office the date of the performance - discounts for seniors and students; credit and debit cards accepted.
