Musical Theater Heritage (MTH THEATER) is presenting 13 performances of "A SPECTACULAR CHRISTMAS SHOW" their annual holiday concert now in its 9th year, featuring spectacular vocal arrangements and Christmas stories designed to bring out the holiday spirit in everyone.

Stories and music are how the MTH annual holiday show excels each year. The program is hosted by MTH founder George Harter and features popular KC performers Molly Hammer, Seth Golay, Jessalyn Kincaid, Vincent Monachino, Shelby Floyd, Pancho Villegas, Matthew King, Tina Maddigan, Anthony Gasbarre, Eric Morris, and Lexi Brie. Jeremy Watson - one of the top pianists in the region - will be at the piano with a 4-piece band.

Produced and directed by MTH's Associate Producer, Tim Scott, MTH's goal is to "deliver that true feeling of Christmas" by presenting spectacular musical numbers, fun stories, and even a visit from Santa Claus.

"Consistent with our mission at MTH, the first act of our show will be dedicated to holiday songs taken directly from musical theater. Songs from White Christmas, A Christmas Story, Elf The Musical, and more," says Tim Scott. "In the second act we will focus on dynamic arrangements of traditional holiday tunes like Sleigh Ride, Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer, Carol Of The Bells, Silent Night, and more".

This is the third year MTH has offered a "KIDS COME FREE" program for this holiday show. Kids between the age of 5 and 17 can come free with each paid adult ticket. Last year, over 350 kids attended the show through this program.

And MTH is again partnering with TOYS FOR TOTS. As an incentive for donations, theater patrons will receive one small bag of popcorn for each toy they donate. Donated toys should be new, in original packaging and valued at $10 or more. Toys may be brought to the MTH lobby on 3rd floor of Crown Center.

"This will be our 3rd year partnering with TOYS FOR TOTS. We have a soft spot for kids, and anything we can do to brighten up an underprivileged child's Christmas morning means a lot to us," says MTH Producer, Chad Gerlt. In addition, MTH will also be donating 100 tickets to TOYS FOR TOTS to give to needy families, military, and volunteers.

Performances for "A SPECTACULAR CHRISTMAS SHOW" are December 9-23 at Musical Theater Heritage (MTH THEATER). Prices are $10-$55. Details can be found on the MTH website at www.MTHKC.com, and all tickets can be purchased by calling the MTH box office (816) 221-6987.
