Kansas City Repertory Theatre continues its 2016-17 season with the beloved holiday classic, Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, adapted for the stage by Barbara Fields and directed by Kansas City Repertory Theatre's Producing Director Jerry Genochio. Performances run November 18 through December 24 at Spencer Theatre.

Kansas City's favorite holiday tradition is back for its 36th season, with some new twists on a longtime favorite, including many new faces in the cast.

Come share the joy of the holiday season, as our theatre transforms into a London street scene right out of the heartwarming tale by Charles Dickens. Richly textured sets, ornate costumes and spectacular special effects will transport the entire family into the story of the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge, who requires the intervention of a few ghostly guides to find the true meaning of Christmas - and life itself.

"I love the story of A Christmas Carol because it reminds us that no one is beyond redemption or salvation, no matter how far they've fallen away from the love and care of other human beings," said Genochio. "Our production is a fun, fast, thrilling and heartfelt telling of this story of redemption."

Performances begin Friday, November 18 and run through Saturday, December 24 at Spencer Theatre. Appropriate for ages 4+. Tickets may be purchased at KCRep.org/show/christmas-carol-2016 or by calling 816-235-2700. For group ticket sales, call 816-235-6122.
