Imagine summer camp complete with rock rivalries and you have the jamming musical, DISNEY'S CAMP ROCK!

With an abundance of music sure to have your feet stomping, DISNEY'S CAMP ROCK is Theatre in the Park's third show of its 2017 summer season, opening Friday night, June 30, and continuing Saturday and Sunday, July 1 & 2, as well as the following Wednesday, July 5 through Saturday, July 8.

The box office opens at 6 p.m. and the gates to the seating bowl open at 6:30 p.m.; the show begins at 8:30 p.m.

Under the direction of TTIP veteran Mark Swezey, DISNEY'S CAMP ROCK features an all-local cast with a large ensemble of talented performers. Jeff Martin music directs and Ann McCroskey is the choreographer. This show is rated G and is appropriate for the entire family.

DISNEY'S CAMP ROCK is a combination of The Disney Channel movies Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. The story follows Mitchie and her friends who, upon arriving at Camp Rock to have a jamming good time, learn they have competition now at the new flashy Camp Star across the lake. The summer situation creates a rivalry like no other. Mitchie sets out with her friends to create the ultimate showdown at a final jam.

A high energy show, DISNEY's CAMP ROCK features more than a dozen songs including "This Is Me," "Can't Back Down," "It's On" and "We Rock". Among the composers with tunes in the show are Adam Watts and Andy Dodd, Kara DioGuardi and Mitch Allan and Matthew Gerrard and Robbie Nevil.

"This show features some of the most talented high school students in Johnson County," said Swezey, director of this production and is a TTIP veteran.

"It is a classic story of rivalry and power that highlights the importance of loyalty, in our ever-changing world, and fighting for what you believe in. This will be a great show for the entire family."
