Tokyo International Players Present PIPPIN 5/13-5/16

Tokyo International Players has announced its production of Pippin, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Roger O. Hirson. Directed by Jon Reimer.

Join us for this dark reinvention of the captivating and scintillating Fosse musical. An anecdotic revue by a band of mysterious traveling performers presents the story of Pippin, a young prince in Charlemagne's France on a quest to find complete and utter fulfillment in his life. Confronting intrigue, humor, romance, illusions, battles, and ultimately a climax - ladies and gentlemen, a climax justly famous throughout the civilized world. Will the extraordinary Pippin determine what really matters most in life?

Full of classic songs of the musical theatre, such as "Magic to Do," "Simple Joys," "I Guess I'll Miss the Man," and "Corner of the Sky," as well as a compelling coming-of-age story, this show is sure to speak to the hearts and minds of world travelers and adventurers, young and old.

Tickets at the door are 4,500 JPY. Tickets reserved in advance (website/through cast member or Our Space) are 4,000 JPY. Tickets purchased through theEarly Bird Special (website only) are 3,800 JPY(available only until April 28th!!!). Tickets for students are 2,500 JPY. Tickets for groups of 10 or more are 3,200 JPY per ticket (Must be reserved under one name for a single show date).
