Opening September 5 for just four short weeks, Joyce Dewitt, co-star of the ABC hit comedy, "Three's Company," will star in Sam Bobrick's romantic comedy, Remember Me.  From 1977 through 1984 – for more than 170 episodes -- miss DeWitt is most widely known to audiences for her role as "Janet Wood", but she is no stranger to live theater, working both as actress and director in a stage career that spans over forty years.  She recently starred in A Scattered, Smothered and Covered Christmas Musical and the Canadian productions of the 2000 Pulitzer Prize-winning play Dinner With Friends and Alfred Uhry's Tony Award-winning play The Last Night of Ballyhoo. Other recent stage performances include the North American premiere of the Australian comedy Daylight Savings, the British farce Noises Off, the revival of Cole Porter's Anything Goes, and the Broadway musical Olympus on My Mind, for which she completed the cast recording - her first record album.

Remember Me will run from September 5 through October 7.   Said Smith, "We are delighted to have Joyce with us in Remember Me.  Every time I mention her coming to the Alhambra, people light up.  Her role in "Three's Company" is as memorable as any, and we are excited to have her as part of our Alhambra family."

Co-starring in Remember Me is Joyce Dewitt's niece, Katharine DeWitt.  Katharine made her stage debut at five years old as the precocious brick pig in The Three Little Pigs.  She majored in theatre at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and Sarah Lawrence College.  Highlights of her work include performing Off-Broadway at Ensemble Studio Theatre in White BuffaloUncle Vanya at The Atlantic Theatre Company; and participating in Musical Theatre Workshops at The Lee Strasberg Institute, New York, including Maria in West Side Story and Miss Adelaide in Guys and Dolls.  She was most recently seen performing in the Barefoot Theatre Company's production of I'm Connecticut, Mike Reiss' latest play.  She and her aunt have never appeared together – another first for the new Alhambra Theatre & Dining.

About the Show

Remember Me is a about a couple in their early fifties who have what appears to be a very comfortable marriage and a very good life.  They live in a gorgeous apartment, their children are grown and gone and they pride themselves on being the best of friends.  Though content, their marriage has grown tired. One morning while Brian is playing tennis their lives are turned upside down when Mary's college boyfriend, Peter, shows up...or does he?  Although Peter takes Mary in his arms, professes his undying love and devotion to her and begs her to forgive him for breaking her heart many years ago, he turns out to simply be Mary's fantasy.  That doesn't stop Brian from going into a jealous rage, even to the point of hiring an actress to play the role of his

own fantasy, Tori, with the hope of making Mary jealous drives her back to her senses.  Things get even more complicated when the real Peter actually shows up. Ms. DeWitt plays the role of Mary, which she has played before to critical acclaim in Kansas City, MO.
