The Emperor's New Clothes in Broadway THE EMPEROR'S NEW CLOTHES
Meridian Little Theatre
Hans Christian Andersen's classic tale of vanity and foolish pride, to life on the MLT's stage. Peter uses all of his magic and wit to convince the court that he can make magic clothes as he plots to embarrass the Emperor and make off with a basket of gold rather than earn an honest day's work to support himself and his grandmother. Because only those who are very smart can see the Emperor's new clothes, everyone pretends to see the clothes-until a young child shouts out the truth. This delightful fairy tale is full of audience participation and lots of fun for everyone.

88 x 8 is back! Yes, eight pianists will play eight pianos for a total of 704 keys!!! All at the same time. Eight of the most prominent pianists and organists of the Jackson area have donated their time and talent for the benefit of the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra. Dr Tim Coker will conduct and the whole program is being produced - yet again - by Lester Senter Wilson. Eight pianos produces a veritable wall of sound, and the music is always great as well as fun!!!
