Maison Foo present Pendulums Bargain Emporium, a greedy fairytale for grown ups, a witty and original new shop-set show from 'Memoirs of a Biscuit Tin' hitmakers.

Welcome to Pendulums, purveyors of everything you've ever wanted and more. But everything has a price...what are you willing to pay?

Inspired by 'The Elves and the Shoemaker' Maison Foo entice audiences to join them on a darkly comic and shameless shopping experience like no other, that treads that fine line between greed and necessity, raising the question 'how far will we go to make ourselves happy?' This desperate tale of slavery and greed, told with humour, intimacy and charm uses an inventive blend of storytelling, live music, clowning and puppetry to seek the answer.

Pendulums Bargain Emporium is set in a shop where happiness and success are just one simple transaction away. The story focuses on the greedy wife of the shoemaker, who has built her empire out of the shoemaker's desperate and desolate last piece of leather. But in an empire full of objects that claim to bring happiness, can the wife ever truly be happy herself?

This delightfully playful and witty devised theatre piece was a big hit at the 2013 Edinburgh Fringe with audiences and critics alike.

Maison Foo first came to national attention with their highly acclaimed sell out show Memoirs Of A Biscuit Tin at the 2010 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. They took the show on an extensive UK tour through 2011 and 2012 to further critical acclaim and sold out notices.

Maison Foo has been delighting audiences and tickling their imaginations since 2007 with their trademark mischievous new theatre, incorporating an enchanting mix of visual/physical theatre, puppetry, object manipulation and clowning. This exciting East Midlands based company charmingly challenge audiences by devising intriguing and inventive high quality theatre.

It is suitable for ages 14+. Visit www.maisonfoo.co.uk for more information.
