Donald Margulies Speaks at 5th Annual Northeast Indiana Playwright Festival Tonight

Fort Wayne Civic Theatre has announced that the featured speaker for the 5th Annual Northeast Indiana Playwright Festival will Pulitzer Prize Winning Playwright Donald Margulies. Margulies' award winning play Dinner With Friends ran on Broadway earlier this year. Margulies' extensive work as a playwright is detailed in his biography (below).

Tonight, May 31 he will be the festival's Featured Speaker and will discuss his career as a playwright at 5:30pm at the Arts United Center. A reception in his honor follows that presentation. In addition he will lead post show discussions following the two Saturday presentations of the 1st place winning play, Whispers to the Moon by Kris Bauske.

This year's festival is sponsored by the John S. & James L. Knight Foundation and is also made possible in part by a Neighborhood Grant from Arts United of Greater Fort Wayne. Civic Season sponsor is Lincoln Financial group. Civic Theatre is an Arts United funded member group and receives support from the Auer Foundation, Foellinger Foundation, English, Bonter, Mitchell Foundation, Fort Wayne Community Foundation, and the Indiana Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts.
