VadFest 2015 is an international art and cultural festival spread across the four-day Republic Day weekend - from January 23 to 26, 2015. Legends from across India and around the world will grace the cityscape for a fabulous four-day celebration of art, music, dance, drama, culture, food and a special kids' theatre fest.
VadFest will showcase some of the finest performances, illustrious artists and a program remarkably kaleidoscopic in diversity. From late night heritage bus rides, royal and street cuisines, vintage car show, pop-up bazaars, to dance and mega concerts, the festival offers something for everyone.
Blame it on Yashraj is the hilarious story of a Punjabi/Bengali family, who get caught up in the whirlwind of a wedding when their darling daughter decides to marry a Muslim boy. Innovatively mounted with fast-changing video walls as backdrops, every scene and every emotion is enhanced with music and dances, hilarious parodies of popular Bollywood tracks and an ensemble cast of well-known stage and TV artists. The humor in the play comes not from gags, but from the 'I have seen that, I have said that, I have experienced that in my family!' feeling! The play is a mirror to our life being shown on stage. The play, which will feature a foot-tapping score by Louis Banks, promises to be a laugh-a-minute roller coaster ride.
