Continuing its tradition of presenting the effervescent comedies of Noël Coward, this summer Main Street Theater has produced Coward's hilarious and champagne-fueled Fallen Angels. With their passionless husbands away (playing golf!), Julia and Jane learn that a mutual lover from days gone by is making an impromptu visit. In a tizzy, there's obviously only one thing to do: uncork the champagne! With each glass of bubbly providing new courage, tongues begin to loosen, suppressed jealousies make themselves known, and the claws come out. But that's nothing compared to the hysterical chaos that ensues when the husbands return early -- and unexpectedly... Fallen Angels is Coward at his sparkling best. Recommended for audiences 13 and up.
Claire Hart-Palumbo directs a cast which includes, Elizabeth Marshall Black (Heartbreak House), Dain Geist (Love Goes to Press, The Coast of Utopia), Bobby Haworth (Love Goes to Press, Life Is a Dream), Crystal O'Brien (Into the Woods, Love Goes to Press, Arcadia), Joel Sandel (Heartbreak House, The Coast of Utopia, Blithe Spirit), and Lisa Villegas (Time Stands Still).
The design team includes Jac Jones (set design), Margaret Crowley (costume design), Eric L. Marsh (lighting design), Shawn W. St. John (sound design), and Rodney Walsworth (properties design). Debs Ramser is the production stage manager.
