The Texas Rep Theatre Co., Houston's Uptown Classic Theatre, continues its tradition of excellence with it's Ninth season with Noel Coward's sparkling supernatural comedy, Blithe Spirit. Directed in a new production by Scott Carr, and featuring a stellar cast of Houston's finest performers, Blithe Spirit will run celebrate its Opening Night gala on October 18th, and will run 4 performances a week through November 10th.

Noel Coward's charming and erudite play may be the funniest haunting that ever was written for the theatre. When a séance in his home goes terribly awry, novelist Charles Condomine is caught between his naïve current wife and his jealous - and ghostly - first wife, who is determined he should join her in the afterlife. NW Houston's critically acclaimed professional theatre brings Noel Coward's romantic shenanigans and barbed-wire bon-mots to the stage in a sparkling new production - a clever comedy treat from beyond the grave filled with wit and whimsey.

The Texas Repertory Theatre production of Blithe Spirit features Texas Rep company members Lauren Dolk, Lisa-Thomas Morrison, Ted Doolittle, Amy Gardner Buchanan and Marcy Bannor as well as Texas Repertory Artistic Director Steven Fenley. The cast is rounded out with Haley S. Cooper making her Texas Repertory debut. Performing in its 9th anniversary season, The Texas Repertory Theatre Co. has become one of Houston's premiere theatrical venues, and continues to offer year-round seasons of plays and musicals to the deserving audiences of NW Houston.
