Houston Symphony Announces ET: THE EXTRA TERRESTRIAL Live, 2/9

The Houston Symphony announced Friday that concert tickets for E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial-Film with Live Orchestra are now on sale. The screening of the blockbuster film with John Williams' Academy Award-winning score performed live to picture will take place at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 9, 2017.

Led by guest conductor Constantine Kitsopoulos, the one-night-only presentation features a complete screening of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial with a performance of the film's entire score by legendary composer John Williams, a longtime Steven Spielberg collaborator and the Academy Awards' most-nominated living person.

E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, which premiered in June 1982, became the fourth film in history to accomplish the feat of winning the Academy Award for Best Original Score, Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score, Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media, and BAFTA Award for Best Film in Music. The beloved blockbuster film tells the story of the unforgettable friendship between Elliot, a lonely 10-year-old boy, and an extraterrestrial stranded on Earth.

The concert will take place at Jones Hall for the Performing Arts, 615 Louisiana Street, in Houston's Theater District. Individual concert tickets start at $35 and are now on sale.
