FALLEN ANGELS and PIPPI LONGSTOCKING Play Main Street Theater, June-July 2014
Main Street Theater's July offerings will include Fallen Angels by Noël Coward and Pippi Longstocking: The Family Musical. Details below!
Fallen Angels by Noël Coward and directed by Claire Hart-Palumbo will play the Main Street Theater - Rice Village, 2540 Times Blvd., Houston, TX, from today, July 10 to August 3, 2014 (Previews: July 5, 6 and 9). Showtimes: Thursdays at 7:30pm; Fridays & Saturdays at 8:00pm; Sundays at 3:00pm.
With their passionless husbands away (playing golf!), Julia and Jane learn that a mutual lover from days gone is making an impromptu visit. In a tizzy, there's obviously only one thing to do: uncork the champagne! With each glass of bubbly providing new courage, tongues begin to loosen, suppressed jealousies make themselves known, and the claws come out. But that's nothing compared to the hysterical chaos that ensues when the husbands return early -- and unexpectedly... Fallen Angels is Coward at his sparkling best.
Recommended for audiences 13 and up.
Free After Parties: Friday and Saturday nights after the show beginning July 12. Included in ticket price.

Pippi Longstocking: The Family Musical
Pippi Longstocking: The Family Musical, based on the novel by Astrid Lindgren, adapted for the stage by Sebastian and Staffan Gotestam, features music and lyrics by Sebastian and will be directed by Jimmy Phillips at Main Street Theater - Chelsea Market, 4617 Montrose Blvd., Houston, TX. The production runs June 8 to August 3, 2014, playing Saturdays at 2pm and 5pm and Sundays at 2pm.
Pippi Longstocking lives alone (with a monkey!) in her wacky house, Villa Villekulla. When she's not dancing with the burglars who were just trying to rob her house, she's attempting to learn the "pluttification" tables at school; fighting Adolf, the strongest man in the world at the circus; or playing tag with police officers. Pippi's good-natured hijinks cause as much trouble as fun in this bubbly, slapstick musical for the whole family!
PippiPALOOZA: Join us for a Piptastic, family-friendly gala, benefitting MST's Education and Outreach programs. Includes the performance of Pippi Longstocking. Sunday, June 8 at 12:30pm at Chelsea Market, 4617 Montrose Blvd. $45 per person.
PAGE TO STAGE BOOKCLUB MEETING: On Saturday, June 14, MST will hold its Page to Stage Book Club meeting at the Blue Willow Bookshop at 10am.
