The Classical Theatre Company's (CTC) winter production of their 2013-2014 Main Stage Season will be Doctor Faustus by Christopher Marlowe. The production runs three weeks from today, January 29th-February 16th, 2014 at The Barn - 2201 Preston Street, Houston, TX 77003.

CTC is very proud to present the Houston professional premiere of Christopher Marlowe's Doctor Faustus. This production will use a script adapted by Timothy Evers, which, though pared down, also includes portions of the original text from which Marlowe wrote his play. The age-old tale of Doctor John Faustus selling his eternal soul to the Devil for unlimited power and knowledge will be re-told as never before.

CTC's award-nominated creative team from last season's successful production of Alfred Jarry's Ubu Roi returns to the stage in the form of Philip Hays as director, Macy Perrone costuming, and Ryan McGettigan will be designing scenery. These individuals, in addition to long-time Alley Theatre Company Member, James Belcher as Mephistopheles, promise to make for a dynamic and memorable production. The company also features Adam Gibbs as Faustus, and Dain Geist and Joanna Hubbard as the chorus.

Tickets are $20 for general admission, $15 for geniors, and $10 for teachers, students, and industry. They are available online at www.classicaltheatre.org/tickets.

The Classical Theatre Company is dedicated to boldly re-envisioning classical drama on the stage, in the community, and in the classroom through engaging and enlightening plays - bringing them new life and relevance while maintaining the integrity that the works deserve.
