The Grand 1894 Opera House presents the triumphant return of the internationally acclaimed musical trio, The Priests, Sunday, November 27, 2016 at 7 pm. This performance is a Galveston Winter Wonder Island event. Hailed as a musical match "made in Heaven," The Priests have achieved international acclaim for their stirring Irish tenor voices. This trio of Roman Catholic priests is one of the most recognized and successful musical acts in both the religious and secular world. Their 2008 debut album set a Guinness World Record for "the Fastest Selling Classical Debut Album of All Times." Fathers Eugene and Martin O' Hagan and Father David Delargy released 3 additional albums between 2009 and 2011, each of which was nominated for the internationally-acclaimed Classical Brit Awards "Classical Album of the Year." The trio has also been featured in two popular PBS performance specials: The Priests in Concert at Armagh Cathedral and The Priests in Concert at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral.
