(8/31/2016) - The Public's Mobile Unit Production of HAMLET, featuring Olivier Award-winning actor Chukwudi Iwuji, directed by Patricia McGregor, just launched a free, three-week tour to the five boroughs. Running through September 17, HAMLET will follow with a sit-down run at The Public Theater, September 19 - October 9. The production will officially open on Thursday, September 22. (8/31/2016) - The cast of Chicago, Broadway's longest running musical, is celebrating this production's twentieth birthday today! For this momentous day, the cast are taking to the streets, with a free concert at SummerStage in Central Park. Doors open at 7PM and the show begins at 8PM. We were lucky enough to catch up with some of the cast as they made their final preparations for today's show.

Brewer, Assembly Member Linda Rosenthal, Manhattan Community Board 7 Chair Elizabeth Caputo, John Herrold, Riverside Park Administrator / President, Riverside Park Conservancy and community members to cut the ribbon on the newly reconstructed 79th Street Boat Basin A-Dock in Riverside Park, Manhattan. A-Dock had been closed for several years due to substructure piling deterioration and Superstorm Sandy incurred damage. The restored 370-foot fixed pier is now re-opened to the public. Emmy Award winner and Golden Globe nominee Marg Helgenberger, known for her 12 seasons as Catherine Willows on CBS's CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, stars as Regina Giddens under veteran director Kyle Donnelly, who has directed more than 20 productions at Arena Stage. (8/30/2016) - This year's Festival saw a whopping 50,266 performances of 3,269 shows in 294 venues across the city. The Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society has announced that by yesterday afternoon, with hundreds of performances still to take place, an estimated 2,475,143 tickets had been issued for shows - a 7.7% increase on last year.
