You Won't Succeed on Broadway if You Don't Have Any Jews is simply a joyous celebration of over 80 years of the Jewish contribution to Musical Theatre. Fresh from an opening in Tel Aviv, the London run features an all-star cast including Lloyd Daniels (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat), Sarah Earnshaw (Spamalot) and Sophie Evans (The Wizard of Oz).

(8/27/2015) - Just yesterday, Tony Award-winner Billy Porter joined hundreds of hopefuls outside of the Hirschfeld Theatre in their most fabulous red footwear to celebrate the show's 1000th performance. To pay homage to the show's now-iconic red boots, the first 50 people in line at the Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th St) wearing red shoes received a free pair of tickets, plus the three most fabulous pairs of footwear, and winners (as chosen by Porter) got to join the cast backstage after the evening performance. Later that night the cast gathered on stage to celebrate with a toast and custom Kinky Boots cupcakes provided by Baked by Melissa. (8/26/2015) - Cortland Repertory Theatre closes their 44th annual summer season of quality live theatre with the 'squeaky-clean' musical soap opera 'SUDS', which features some of the greatest 1960's pop songs ever written. The show was created byMelinda Gilb, Steve Gunderson and Bryan Scott; Gunderson also created the musical and vocal arrangements. Performances will run from August 26 - September 5 with evening performances at 7:30. Matinees are available on August 28 and 30, and September 1 and 2 at 2:00 PM. Tickets may be purchased by calling 800-427-6160 or at the CRT Box Office at 24 Port Watson Street in Cortland. Tickets are also available for sale 24 hours a day through the CRT website atwww.cortlandrep.org.

(8/26/2015) - Jim Caruso's Broadway at Birdland concert series had all the traffic Monday night as Klea Blackhurst brought her hit concert, 'Everything the Traffic Will Allow' to the Birdland stage.This is Blackhurst's loving tribute to the songs made famous by the quintessential stage personality Ethel Merman. Not an impersonator and not an impressionist, Blackhurst offered a paean to the great Broadway legend that serves as a potent and happy reminder of Merman's sheer, undeniable importance to both the history of twentieth century entertainment and the iconic composers like Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin and Jerry Herman, who wrote songs just for her.

(8/25/2015) - Deaf West's acclaimed production of Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik's Spring Awakening, directed byMichael Arden and choreographed by Spencer Liff, began rehearsals earlier this month for its big Broadway transfer.
