(Marne-la-Vallée, March 26, 2017) - Disneyland® Paris sparkled with the launch of its historic 25th Anniversary with a day filled with extraordinary events.

Celebrating bringing a quarter of a century of magic to guests from France, Europe and around the globe, Disneyland® Paris debuted sparkling new entertainment, experiences and other new offerings before a host of international media, celebrities and other special guests.

"Since it opened its gates in 1992, Disneyland® Paris has been a place where the young and young at heart can step into the worlds of their favourite stories, meet beloved characters, and become part of the magic in a way that only happens at a Disney Park," said Bob Chapek, Chairman, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. "And we've got even more magic in store for our 25th anniversary."

Chapek welcomed guests to the Anniversary celebration with a cavalcade of performers and favourite Disney characters including Tinker Bell who spread her pixie dust over the crowd with colorful fireworks to mark the historic occasion.

The celebrity guests included movie and television stars like Teri Hatcher ("Desperate Housewives," "Supergirl"). Hatcher visited the park after a tour of Paris with her father. The events of the day ended with the debut of the new Disney Illuminations fireworks spectacular - a sweeping crescendo of fireworks, laser lights and music. The evening also included a surprise performance from music superstar John Legend, who dazzled the crowd with some of his hits - and a special arrangement of "Beauty and the Beast" he created specifically for Disneyland Paris 25th. (Legend recently recorded a version of the Disney classic for the blockbuster live action film Beauty and the Beast.)

"We are proud to bring Walt's heritage to life in the heart of Europe, to have made strong ties with Paris and France and to have made our guests dreams come true for more than a quarter of a century," said Catherine Powell, President of Euro Disney S.A.S., "Now, more than ever before, Disneyland Paris is looking to the future, and continuing to exceed our Guests' expectations.
