Acclaimed vocalist Michelle Johnson, known as “Las Vegas’ First Lady of Jazz,” performs Freedom – A Juneteenth Celebration. She returns to Myron's at The Smith Center on June 19 for an inspiring and deeply personal concert that honors the spirit of Juneteenth through music, movement, storytelling, and celebration.

Freedom – A Juneteenth Celebration will be more than just a concert. This multidisciplinary experience aims to inspire hope, resilience, and collective empowerment, showing how liberation is a continuous journey that unites us all.

Featuring a rich blend of spirituals, jazz, Broadway favorites, soul classics, and contemporary selections, the evening creates a layered experience that celebrates Johnson's personal heritage, connecting her American and Liberian roots and inspiring pride in cultural identity.

“I am excited to be returning with a vibrant concert experience that blends music, movement, and the power of story to explore freedom in all its forms,” said Johnson. “Celebrating resilience, identity and collective joy, Freedom – A Juneteenth Celebration reflects on the meaning of the historically celebrated day of emancipation and liberation of African American people while weaving in my Liberian roots and West African ancestry, the musical influences that shaped my artistry, and my own journey through the lens of freedom.”

Johnson’s family history provides a remarkable backdrop for the performance. Her mother is from Detroit, while her father was Liberian. She is a direct descendant of Elijah Johnson, one of the founding fathers of Liberia, as well as Hilary R.W. Johnson, Liberia’s 11th president and the nation’s first president born on African soil.

The evening will also feature several distinguished guest artists and speakers. Joining Johnson on stage are celebrated performers Clint Holmes, Serena Henry, Toscha Comeaux, Avana Christie, Skye Dee Miles, Jassen Allen, Chondell Leland, and Lannie Counts. Adding historical perspective and personal reflection, Johnson will share a personal reflection written exclusively for this concert by William Alex Haley Jr., grandson of acclaimed author Alex Haley, whose groundbreaking work, Roots, helped illuminate African American history for generations. Special guest Sherry Gordy, daughter of Motown founder Berry Gordy, will also make an appearance.

Supporting Johnson is an accomplished band led by Musical Director and pianist Reggie Johnson, former musical director for Boyz II Men. The ensemble includes drummer Marshawn Fondren, guitarist Johnny Johnson, bassist John Belzaguy, and percussionist David Gervais. Avree Walker provides choreography for the production.

While rooted in Juneteenth, Johnson emphasizes that the show's message of freedom and resilience speaks to everyone, inviting all attendees into a shared experience of unity and collective humanity.

This concert marks Johnson’s 25th appearance at Myron’s. Known for creating sold-out concert experiences centered on unity, empowerment and connection, Johnson hopes audiences leave inspired by the transformative power of music and community.

Going on sale Friday, June 12 will be the first four shows of The Smith Center's latest Toyota Broadway Las Vegas Series. The new season features productions direct from Broadway that have collectively been showered with multiple Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards.

The season begins in September with Disney's eternal family favorite BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, touring North America for the first time in more than two decades. PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, one of the most highly revered shows of all time, hits the Reynolds Hall stage for two weeks in October and November, followed by the hilarious and heartwarming ELF THE MUSICAL later in November. When the calendar flips to 2027, THE OUTSIDERS, the thrilling winner of the 2024 Tony Award for Best Musical, makes its Las Vegas debut in January.

Hasan Minhaj is a two-time Peabody Award-Winning comedian best known for his breakout Netflix special HOMECOMING KING and his critically acclaimed, political satire show PATRIOT ACT WITH Hasan Minhaj for Netflix, which won a Peabody, an Emmy, and a Television Academy Honor. His second one-hour comedy special, THE KING'S JESTER, premiered on Netflix in 2022. In October 2024, Hasan released his third comedy special on Netflix, titled OFF WITH HIS HEAD.

Emma Nissen to Make Myron's at The Smith Center Debut

Jazz-pop phenom Emma Nissen will make her Smith Center debut on October 10, 2026 inside Myron's, co-presented by Danny Zelisko Presents. Tickets starting at $52 go on sale Friday, June 12 at 10 a.m..

Emma Nissen is a 25-year-old jazz-pop phenom who became known for her “Jesus and Jazz” style after a reel of her scatting on her Christian song “Breathe” went viral in late 2023. Since then, thanks to her timeless voice and lovable personality, her videos have amassed more than 200 million views, while helping to grow her Instagram following to over 850,000.

That surge in attention led to Nissen being recognized by the likes of Lauren Daigle, SZA, Meghan Trainor, Queen Latifah and Adam Blackstone – an Emmy and Grammy winner who has collaborated with Rihanna, Maroon 5 and Justin Timberlake. Las Vegas' Delirious Comedy Club Launches Weekly Live Tapings

Delirious Comedy Club, the Las Vegas comedy club, has launched DELIRIOUS TV, a new comedy series filmed live before a comedy club audience and streaming to viewers worldwide.

Beginning Thursday, June 11, DELIRIOUS TV will tape live every Thursday at Delirious Comedy Club inside Silver Sevens Hotel & Casino, bringing together nationally touring comedians, rising stars, and fan favorites from some of comedy's biggest platforms.

The series will showcase comedians whose credits include Netflix, HBO, Comedy Central, Dry Bar Comedy, Open Bar Comedy, Comics Unleashed, USO Tours, The Bob & Tom Show, and more.

Unlike traditional comedy specials filmed in theaters or television studios, DELIRIOUS TV aims to capture the authentic energy of a real comedy club, where audiences become part of the experience and every performance is fueled by live interaction and spontaneous laughter.

"Comedy is at its best when it's performed live in front of a real audience, not a studio or fabricated event space," said comedian, producer and Delirious Comedy Club founder Don Barnhart. "DELIRIOUS TV is designed to showcase great stand-up comedy the way it was meant to be experienced-live, unfiltered, and connected directly with the audience."

Each episode will be professionally filmed in 4K using a multi-camera production format and will feature performances from established headliners, nationally touring comedians, and select up-and-coming talent. The show will stream worldwide and in select markets across the U.S.

Comedians interested in being considered for future appearances on DELIRIOUS TV are encouraged to submit promotional materials, performance clips, and professional credits through the club's social media channels or by contacting the club directly.

Seating begins at 6:30 PM, with the camera rolling at 7:00 PM. Audience members attending the tapings may have the opportunity to appear in the final broadcast and streaming presentations.

BroadwayWorld Launches Producer Fantasy Game

Ever watched the weekly Broadway grosses roll in and thought you could pick the winners? Now you can put it to the test. BroadwayWorld has launched the Producer Fantasy Game, a free, season-long competition that lets theatre fans build a roster of Broadway shows and earn points based on how those productions actually perform at the box office. The draft window is open now.

How It Works

The setup is simple. During the draft window, you pick any six Broadway productions that opened this season. Drafting is non-exclusive, so there is no need to race a rival for a hot title. Any number of players can roster the same show.

From there, your shows go to work for you. Every week, each production on your roster earns fantasy points based on its reported box office grosses and capacity percentages. When Tony, Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle nominations and wins are announced, your shows bank bonus points on top of that. And each week you can answer our Fantasy Forecast prediction questions for up to five bonus points per correct call.

Weekly Scoring

Each week, a show earns one base point for every $50,000 it grosses, so a $1 million week is worth 20 base points. On top of that, shows can earn bonuses: up to five points for filling seats (based on how close to full capacity the house ran), six points for grossing $2 million or more (or three points for grossing between $1 million and $2 million), and eight points if its gross jumped at least 15 percent from the week before. A show loses four points if its gross dropped at least 15 percent. If a show goes dark and reports no gross for a week, it scores zero for that week with no penalty.

The Fantasy Forecast

The Producer Fantasy Game is really two games in one. The first is the box office game: drafting shows and earning points from their weekly grosses and awards. The second is the Fantasy Forecast, a weekly set of prediction questions about what's happening on Broadway, where each correct answer is worth up to five points. You can play one or both.

We track them separately so you can shine at either. Your Producer score covers the box office game, your Forecast score covers your prediction results, and your Combined score adds the two together for the overall championship ranking. The leaderboard lets you toggle between Overall, Producers, and Forecasters, so a sharp predictor can top the Forecasters board even during a rough season for their roster, and a roster powerhouse can lead the Producers board without answering a single question.

Managing Your Roster

Your lineup stays at six shows all season, and you have plenty of room to maneuver. You get one free drop every week, three additional season drops to use anytime before the trade deadline, and free replacements whenever a show on your roster closes. New productions open throughout the season and become available the moment they start reporting grosses, so it pays to keep a transaction in your pocket for that buzzy new opening.

Met with overwhelming enthusiasm from audiences during their first set of sold-out performances, “Nothing But Hits” returns to the intimate venue for 10 additional dates Aug. 7-9, 12, 14-16 and 21-23. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 5.

Backed by an incredible live band, Jam & Lewis will perform their greatest hits while providing the inside perspective of the studio sessions that produced them. Surprise guest artists that joined the pair on stage during “Nothing But Hits” at Voltaire earlier this year included Yolanda Adams, Ledisi, Chante Moore, Stokley, Force MD's, Ann Nesby and many more who used their vocals to bring the soundtracks to life. Guests can expect more surprise appearances this August as part of the show's creative fiber, so no two shows are ever the same.

Summerlin Council Patriotic Parade to Return as Official America250 Nevada Event

The Summerlin Council Patriotic Parade will return on July 4 for its 32nd annual celebration, marking the nation's 250th birthday. Designated an official America250 Nevada event, this year's parade carries the theme "United We Celebrate 250" and will feature 70 entries representing American history, culture, military service, sports, and community traditions.

The parade will include more than 20 giant inflatable balloons, veteran and military organizations, performing groups, and floats representing both patriotic and popular culture themes. Participating professional sports organizations include the Vegas Golden Knights, Las Vegas Raiders, Athletics, and Las Vegas Aviators. Col. Trevor T. Merrell of the United States Air Force will serve as Grand Marshal.

In recognition of the America250 anniversary, organizers have structured the parade around six themed chapters highlighting the founding of the United States, military service, community spirit, culture, sports, and national traditions. Historical-themed entries will include tributes to the Mayflower voyage, the American Revolution, Benjamin Franklin, Abraham Lincoln, World War II veterans, and the women's suffrage movement.

A special presentation titled "America Waves" will invite parade participants and spectators to simultaneously wave American flags along the parade route. Returning patriotic-themed entries include "All-Star Salute to the Military," "America Sings!," "Red, White and Rodeo," and "Party Like It's 1776."

The parade's giant inflatables will include a 30-foot Liberty Bell, a 40-foot American Eagle, a large American flag, a 30-foot birthday cake, and a 25-foot Uncle Sam hat. Additional entries will feature themes inspired by WICKED, Bluey, Star Wars, Super Mario Bros., The Princess and the Frog, Moana, and High School Musical.

Live entertainment will be provided by organizations including Danza Del Carrizo, Korabo Taiko, Guan Strong Lion Arts, Comparsa Morelense, Live Arts Collective – West Las Vegas Arts Center, Swing It! Girls, and the Palo Verde High School Marching Band. More than 2,500 participants and 500 volunteers are expected to take part in the event.

iHeartMedia has unveiled the lineup for the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Festival presented by Capital One, the annual concert event taking place on Friday, Sept. 18 and Saturday, Sept. 19 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, the two-day lineup for the event will feature performances by BTS, Benson Boone, Cardi B, Goo Goo Dolls, Kenny Chesney, Lainey Wilson, Major Lazer, Muse, Snoop Dogg, Weezer and Zara Larsson, with more to be announced.

Each night, the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Festival presented by Capital One will broadcast live for fans via iHeartMedia radio stations throughout the country across more than 150 markets. Disney+ and Hulu will livestream all of the performances for subscribers.

Acclaimed trumpet soloist, composer, arranger, and conductor David Perrico will take center stage at The Industrial Event Space on June 4 for a unique live music experience. He will premiere six new original compositions with his renowned Pop Symphonic Orchestra during a special live music video production event.

This will be a one-time-only live performance and a music video recording for Perrico's new album, Universal (Volume 2). Guests will experience the creative process of creating one of Southern Nevada's top musical artists in the studio, as well as enjoy live entertainment in front of their friends.

Perrico is the internationally recognized band leader/conductor of the Las Vegas Raiders House Band, based at Allegiant Stadium, and is well known for blending cinematic orchestral/Broadway arrangements with contemporary pop. His new Pop Symphonic style has drawn audiences to Las Vegas and beyond by creating the effect of a full orchestra while delivering the excitement of a contemporary concert.

Perrico will lead his 68-piece Pop Symphonic Orchestra in six new compositions, offering audience members an inspiring opportunity to experience a one-of-a-kind live performance and recording session.

The event provides guests with an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at a professional music video production, making industry professionals and fans feel valued and part of the creative process.

A native of Youngstown, Ohio, Perrico is a trumpeter, conductor, and award-winning composer, and earned a Bachelor of Music from Youngstown State University and a master of Music in Jazz Studies/Composition from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Perrico's background includes performances with the legendary Tommy Dorsey Orchestra (1994-2001) as soloist and road manager, and has been featured in Las Vegas Strip shows including Donny & Marie, Pin Up, Natalie Cole, Cirque du Soleil-Viva Elvis, Gladys Knight, The Rat Pack Is Back, Phantom of the Opera and Toni Braxton. As a composer, Perrico has received national awards for original jazz and symphonic compositions and has been spotlighted on the PBS series ArtScene with his 20-piece band, Pop Evolution, which headlined at The Strat and Palms Las Vegas. Perrico also served as music director and lead trumpet for Paul Shaffer at Caesars Palace, as well as musical director for the shows Pin Up and ALICE. He has served as an adjunct faculty member in Jazz Studies at UNLV (2006-2012). He has released 15 CDs and 5 DVD recordings, including The Family Guy Live DVD, and the Grammy award-winning album One Voice by Gladys Knight, and is endorsed by Phaeton Trumpets and Legends Brass. The producers behind the acclaimed Las Vegas production of FOLLIES have announced the world premiere of ESMÉ: A Brand-New Old-Fashioned Musical (ESMÉ) set to debut at Notoriety in downtown Las Vegas from June 23–27. Blending timeless French music, whimsical storytelling, and theatrical charm, the new musical invites audiences of all ages into the vibrant cobblestone streets of 1920s France.

ESMÉ follows the journey of teenage Esmé—short for Esmerelda—as she leaves the French countryside behind and heads to Paris to live with her Uncle Gustave, owner of a bustling neighborhood café. Along the way, she encounters an unforgettable cast of quirky, irresistible characters in a story that evokes the fantastical spirit of classics like The Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland.

The production features reimagined music for the stage with a contemporary theatrical flair. The creative team behind ESMÉ is dedicated to merging classical artistry with modern theatrical storytelling. The musical is built around the original compositions of acclaimed French composer and pianist Erik Satie (1866–1925), whose celebrated works—including the Gymnopédies and Gnossiennes—provide the production with a quintessentially Parisian soundscape. David James Robinson serves as book writer, lyricist, scenic designer, and director. An accomplished playwright and lyricist, David has crafted a narrative filled with whimsy, wonder, and emotional depth while offering a fresh perspective on Erik’s timeless music. Musical Director Dan Ellis (pianist) collaborated closely with David to transform Erik’s piano and orchestral works into a vibrant theatrical score for the live ensemble.

“After we did Follies, we looked at many shows. We didn't find anything to excite us. People approached us with some shows; we explored them, but the projects didn't feel right. We decided to produce something original,” explained David. “I had been in the BMI Musical Theatre Writers' Workshop. Steve Sondheim had mentored me. I had a background in writing as a lyricist. We did consider a play about the Algonquin Roundtable, but everyone dies. We were looking for a more upbeat story. We loved Wicked, a story about young girls coming of age. There were stories about Colette, Anne of Green Gables, and the Wizard of Oz. Alice is going through the looking glass with the Mad Hatter and all the crazy people she meets along the way. That became the formula for Esmé's process of coming to Paris, Montmartre, to this crazy café her uncle owns.

“We wanted to create a show that feels both nostalgic and brand new,” said producer Tom Michel. “By pairing Satie’s brilliant compositions with a story about community, discovery, and the magic of 1920s Paris, we’ve built an experience that is guaranteed fun for the entire family.”

“The expats, artists’ models, painters, poets, all of the crazies, including the sage Eric, who's a composer. They all educate her,” added David.

The world premiere production boasts a dynamic ensemble of veteran performers and emerging talent, bringing the eccentric world of Paris to life. Madison Morseburg stars as Esmé, the spirited young woman venturing from the countryside to the big city, alongside Rob Hyatt as Uncle Gustave, the warm-hearted café proprietor.

The cast also includes Avana Christie as Bricktop, the sassy nightclub owner; Christie Copeland as Lula Belle, the wealthy American tourist; Merald “Bubba” Knight as Erik, the sage-like composer watching over the community; Kelly Vohnn as Claudette, the real-life Bicycle Bride; Lannie Counts as Louis, a soldier who survived World War I; Lisa Elliott as Madame Papillion, the fading opera diva struggling to survive; and Linda Woodson as Josephine Baker, the dynamic cabaret star, among many others. Backing the cast is a live ensemble joined by Karalyn Clark on keyboards and Orlando Santos on percussion.

Led by Arturo Hernandez Gomez (of Fiddle & Fern and Desert Opus) and Nicola Lee Kilyushik, Yin Violin is a unique, new music and movement collaboration that begins with gentle breathwork before unfolding into a slow, meditative yin yoga practice with long, supported holds. As you move through each posture, live violin is intuitively woven throughout, adding resonance and depth. Rita Deanin Abbey's poetry from Seeds Yet Ever Secret will gently guide the class, deepening the connection between sound, movement, and reflection. The Rita Deanin Abbey Art Museum is pleased to present a special new exhibition of photographs by Gary Adams, opening with a public reception. Developed through a close friendship with Rita Deanin Abbey during her tenure at UNLV (1965–1987), Adams' work reflects a shared artistic devotion to the landscapes of the American Southwest. Captured over two days in 1987, the exhibition features large-format contact portraits and expressive 35mm images, offering an intimate portrayal of Abbey within her home and studio. During the June 27 reception, photographer Mark Andrews will share reflections on Adams' artistic process, techniques, and enduring influence on the photography of the American Southwest. This exhibition is made possible through the generous donation of Gary Adams' photography to the museum by his wife, Melissa Kelly Adams. Admission to the opening reception is free.

As Sonic the Hedgehog celebrates 35 years as one of the most iconic video game franchises of all time, Senbla and SEGA today announced Sonic Live In Concert (www.sonicliveinconcert.com). This new concert experience brings the music and moments of the beloved video games to the stage.

Featuring iconic moments and music from the very first game in 1991 through today, the production will debut in the U.S. at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on September 26, 2026, before making its European premiere at London's Eventim Apollo on September 30. The U.S. tour will visit more than 30 cities nationwide, and a UK tour will follow in February 2027. More European dates will be announced at a later time. Tickets will go on sale May 29, 2026, with pre-sale tickets going on sale on May 28, 2026.

As part of a global rollout celebrating the franchise's milestone anniversary, Sonic Live In Concert features the most recognizable music from the Sonic universe, performed by a live ensemble alongside rock musicians, vocalists, and electronic elements. The setlist includes fan-favorite tracks and an incredible array of music from the very first game through to today accompanied by synchronized HD footage of iconic levels, moments and boss battles from the franchise. Audiences can expect musical Easter eggs woven into the arrangements, adding an extra layer of discovery that brings Sonic's world vividly to life on stage.

The concert also highlights the creative legacy behind Sonic's music from legendary composers Jun Senoue and Tomoya Ohtani, whose work has helped define Sonic's sound across generations.

Las Vegas lights up the night, and inside the Rio Hotel and Casino, The Empire Strips Back turns sci-fi into a wild burlesque party. Classic characters from that famous galaxy far, far away wink at Star Wars. It throws in cheeky humor, seriously bold costumes, and a vibe that grabs everyone’s attention. The crowd’s loud—cheering, laughing and definitely outrageous. It’s ridiculous, it’s glamorous, and it makes geek culture feel frisky and fun.

The Empire Strips Back celebrated its first anniversary in Las Vegas on May 4, better known as "May The Fourth Be with You" day. The show began about 15 years ago in Sydney, Australia, in a tiny music venue. It was an instant hit and was soon playing large venues in Australia. The show's director, Russell Beatty, was its key creator, and David J. Foster, the producer, licensed it from him three years ago. He launched it in San Francisco three summers ago, and it did amazingly well. Touring productions were launched with performances on Off-Broadway, New York City, Denver, London, Paris and Mexico City.

Max Francisco, dance captain and one of the principal dancers, is Australian. “I actually saw the show when I was back in Australia quite a few years ago. I wasn't part of it, but my friends were in the show, so I watched it and thought it was hilarious. I then moved to Las Vegas 10 years ago, and I have been with the company for over two years.” Francisco is also proud that “I've been in the industry for 20 plus years. Honestly, I didn't even think I would still be on stage at age 40.”

She loves that it's a parody, a comedic burlesque show, and sensual and sexy. Francisco also admits that, “I may disappoint some people because I became a fan of the movies because I work in a show about it.”

“The great thing about the show is that the audience on a Tuesday night is as loud as the audience on a Saturday night. There is something about the show that people just love, and it just always gets an insane reaction, and it's a very general audience. We get the Star Wars fans; we get the sci-fi fans; maybe the nerdy end of the spectrum, but it's not exclusively for that audience, but a broad audience,” added Foster. “Just something about the show really works. People really connect to it, and there is always a great reaction in Las Vegas every night.”

“Las Vegas is such a tourist-driven city, and our audiences are people from all over the world. People might go to watch the show because they like Star Wars, only to realize they really love a burlesque parody. You don't even have to like Star Wars to enjoy the show as well, which I think is absolutely great,” said Francisco.
