PREPARATION

Actors (Two contrasting monologues), Singers (One song--16 bars and one monologue). Please bring four copies of your headshot and resume stapled together (Photocopies are acceptable). Singers please bring sheet music noted for the accompanist with a beginning and ending in the correct key.

[Camila Rosario]: Nina’s strong-willed mother, co-owner of Rosario’s, tolerant until pushed

[Benny]: Employee of Rosario’s, African American, dreams of owning his own business

[Vanessa]: Works at the Salon, stunningly beautiful, Usnavi’s love interest, dreams of something better

[Sonny]: Usnavi's sassy, superficially lazy, yet ambitious younger cousin, jokester, intelligent, thoughtful

[Abuela Claudia]: Raised Usnavi, though not his blood grandmother, loving matriarch
