Breakdown

This production is a revival of The Shakespeare Theatre Company's 2013 production of The Winter's Tale. The production is STC's annual ''Free For All'' which means all performances are completely free of charge and open to the public.

The Shakespeare Theatre Company is a strong proponent of Non-Traditional Casting and actively encourages actors of color, seniors, women and performers with disabilities to attend its auditions.

LEONTES/AUTOLYCUS
40s-50s. One actor will double as Leontes and Autolycus. Leontes is the King of Sicilia. He is tortured by the idea that his wife is having an affair. He is jealous, paranoid, manipulative, and eventually heartbroken and vulnerable. Autolycus is a wandering and roguish pickpocket; a rascal and an impersonator. Actor must have tremendous range to play the comic and tragic qualities in this doubling, as well as great skills with language. Actor must also sing.
