Preparation
Please prepare two contrasting contemporary monologues that total no more than 3 minutes.

Please bring a hardcopy of your headshot and resume, stapled together.

Breakdown

The Whale by Samuel D. Hunter
3 women, 2 men

CHARLIE - Early to mid forties, male, weighing around 600 lbs. An online professor of English who has not left his home in years. He has difficulty with daily activities.

LIZ - Mid to late thirties, female. Friend of Charlie's who is also a nurse and will check in on him from time to time.

ELDER THOMAS - 19, male. Young Mormon who is on his mission and visits with Charlie.

ELLIE - 17, female. Charlie's estranged daughter. Runs a ''trash site'' and is currently failing her classes.

MARY - Early to mid forties, female. Charlie's ex-wife and Ellie's mother. Drinks a great deal.


Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? by Edward Albee
2 women, 2 men

MARTHA - a large boisterous woman, 52, looking somewhat younger; ample, but not fleshy

GEORGE - her husband, 46; thin, hair going gray

HONEY - 26, a petite blond girl; rather plain

NICK - late 20s, her husband; blond, well put-together, good-looking
