BREAKDOWN

Ensemble: Strong dancer singer that end up playing…..accountants, dancing Bavarian peasants, convicts, first nighters, little old ladies, tapping storm troopers, leggy showgirls, nuns, blind violinists, usherettes, an all gay all the time team of theatrical designers, houseboys, frighteningly bad auditioners, Stalin, Churchill, etc.

True triple threats who sing traditional musical theatre very well, dance very well in a variety of styles (most must be excellent tappers), and have the comic chops and fearless creativity to assume the wacky supporting roles that keep the comic engine of The Producers running on full throttle.

Some specialty ensemble members are

Springtime for Hitler tenor:
the uber-handsome (in a “master race” kind of way) singing lead of the worst production number in history.

Mr. Marks:
Leo’s boss …a short-tempered, cigar-chomping little tyrant.

Hold Me-Touch Me:
a woman of “80 or so”…a quintessential little old lady…a very hornylittle old lady she particularly likes playing her favorite game: “The Virgin Milkmaid and the Well-Hung Stable Boy”.

Sergeant O’Brien:
gruff top cop…speaks in a heavy New York Irish accent

Judge Maxwell:
elderly…and very grumpy
