PREPARATION

Please come warmed up and ready to dance. Women should bring heels, flats, and taps. Men should bring jazz shoes/sneakers and taps. Please bring a headshot and resume stapled together.

BREAKDOWN

[FRANCOIS RENAULT and AS CAST]
Male, 40’s-early 50’s. Any ethnicity. Owner of El Morocco Club. Must be good looking and sexy… attractive to Trixie. Must be old enough to have been Trixie’s boss 15 years ago. Must have an excellent contemporary musical theatre voice, move very well, and have great comedic timing. FEATURED ENSEMBLE.

[STREB]
Late 20’s-mid 30’s. Any ethnicity. Ad man. A “yes” man. Ambitious, duplicitous, sneaky, a bit like Bud Frump. Must have an excellent contemporary musical theatre voice, move very well, and have great comic timing. FEATURED ENSEMBLE.

[MALE ENSEMBLE]
Men, 20’s to 40’s. Any ethnicity. Must be excellent singer/dancers and play several small characters throughout the show including Ralph’s coworkers, executives at the Ad agency, and many more. Should be strong character actors with a great sense of comedic timing. Some tracks will be required to cover principal roles. ENSEMBLE.

[FEMALE ENSEMBLE]
Women, 20’s to 40’s. Any ethnicity. Must be excellent singer/dancers and play several small characters throughout the show. Should be strong character actresses with a great sense of comedic timing. Some roles will also need to understudy ALICE and/or TRIXIE. ENSEMBLE.
