Seeking
Seeking Equity actors for 3 male and 3 female roles. Characters are 20s-50s.
Specifically looking for strong actors with dynamic, hilarious personalities who are experienced with physical comedy and farce. All types are encouraged to attend.
Preparation
Prepare a 1-2 minute contemporary comedic monologue - in the style of the show that exhibits both emotional and physical range.
Please bring a picture & resume, stapled back-to-back.

Instructions to Make an Appointment
For a 5-minute appointment (for either the EPA call on 4/16 or the OPEN calls on 4/14, 4/15), please call (914) 328-1600, x18 (M-F, 11-5 pm) or e-mail auditions@wppac.com beginning Wednesday, April 2. Appointments made by phone preferred. Include name, phone #, approximate time you’d like to audition and union status. Equity Members without appointments will be seen throughout the audition day, as time permits. Once you have been given an appointment time, it will be confirmed by email along with very detailed driving and mass transit directions using Metro-North from Grand Central.
Callbacks: Thursday 4/17/14, 10:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Callbacks are by invitation ONLY. Actors will be notified by email if they are expected to return for callbacks. Sides will be distributed at callbacks; please be as familiar with the show as possible if you are called back.

Theatre’s casting note: Because of the short, intense rehearsal schedule, we are open and interested in seeing performers who may have done the show before. But it is NOT a requirement. Open to ALL ethnicities and types.
SEEKING:
JUSTIN HICKS:
Male (20-29) – Offbeat, sweet, anxious and a bundle of nerves with unruly hair; Justin is Bingham’s new eager-to-please assistant who volunteers his services as a closeted golf pro to help Quail Valley win the golf tournament. He is romantically involved with Louise and proposes to her early on, but becomes emotionally distraught when things become difficult between them.
LOUISE HEINDBEDDER:
Female (20-29) - A waitress at the Quail Valley Country Club. She is very attractive and a little ditzy, but studious and good-natured. She's in her own world that is innocent and wonderful to visit. Louise gets engaged to Justin, but a mishap results in her becoming very upset over their future together, making her bawl at a moment’s notice.
HENRY BINGHAM:
Male (mid 40s – mid 50s) - Director of the Quail Valley Country Club. He is witty and cynical at times and gets into a high-stakes bet on a golf tournament, determined to do what it takes to win. He is terrified and unhappy in his marriage to Muriel and becomes involved with Pamela.
PAMELA PEABODY:
Female (mid 40s – mid 50s) - A board member of the Quail Valley Country Club. She is very attractive, tan, flirty and sophisticated, but loose and a bit of a drinker. Throughout the play she aids Bingham in his plans to make sure their club wins. Sees opportunity in everything.
DICKIE BELL:
Male (late 40s – late 50s) - The director of the rival Crouching Squirrel Country Club, with whom Bingham gets into a high-stakes bet. He is a bit of an obnoxious blowhard, cocky and arrogant but tries to come off as good-natured. He is Pamela’s third ex-husband and has a thing for Bingham’s wife Muriel.
MURIEL BINGHAM:
Female (mid 40s – mid 50s) - Bingham’s wife, who runs an antique shop, which becomes part of the bet between Henry and Dickie. Generally overbearing and stern, she somehow has a soft spot for Dickie but is described as “…a strong woman. Like a Sherman Tank. No feet, she has treads on the bottom, churning forward over the landscape.”
