BREAKDOWN

Cosme McMoon - the former accompanist to Florence Foster Jenkins, 'first lady of the sliding scale'. He navigates the ridiculous with an understated tact. He has his own musical aspirations. Possesses an elegance and grace. His audience comes to be entertained as much by his abrasive asides as his music. Extremely competent pianist.

*Audition Preparation note: Actors must demonstrate strong piano skills, an ability to support an operatic recital, and to play challenging classical pieces with sensitivity.

You may be asked to play an additional selection at the audition The Jewel Song (Gounod) OR Adele's Laughing Song (In English Die Fledermaus/Strauss)
