SEEKING
Male and female actors for the upcoming production of SOUTH PACIFIC.
PREPARATION
Prepare a short song in the style of the show. You may sing from the show. Bring music in your key; an accompanist will be provided. Bring headshot and resume.

BREAKDOWN
Nellie Forbush – 20 - 30, strong mezzo (low A to C), moves very well – a spunky young nurse from Arkansas, optimistic with comic ability
Emile DeBecque – 40 - 50, strong bass/baritone, mature, sophisticated, charismatic, must have a good French accent
Joe Cable – 20 - 30, baritone/tenor (E to high G), an intelligent, handsome Marine lieutenant, passionate
Luther Billis – late 27 – 40, comic character man, a Navy Seabee who always has an angle, adores Nellie
Bloody Mary – 35 – 55, Asian or African-American, shrewd native merchant who makes a fortune off of the sailors, goes nose to nose with Billis
Captain Bracket – 40 – 55, commanding officer on the island, stern but with a softer, bemused side
Commander Harbison – 25 – 40, Second in command, by the book officer
Stewpot and the Professor – 20’s – early 30’s – Billis’s henchmen, Seabees, should sing well and have comic ability, Stewpot should have some bass notes.
Ensign Janet MacGregor – 20 - 30, Nellie’s fellow nurse and best friend, should sing and move very well
Lt. Buzz Adams – 20 – 30 Navy pilot
