BENEATHA YOUNGER
Female, Early 20s, African American, daughter of Lena, a coming-of age intellectual with teenage tendencies, has a caustic wit

RUTH YOUNGER
Female, Mid 20s–30s, African American, wife of Walter, mother of Travis, pours herself into the family, a peace-maker with a deep well of secrets living inside her
