Breakdown

42nd Street Moon celebrates its 22nd Season in 2014-15. The company presents intimately produced versions of uncommon musicals, specializing in early to mid-20th Century American Musical Theatre. Since 2008, our shows have been fully staged, with choreography and are performed off-book.

Rehearsals are typically weeknights from 6 - 10 pm, weekends from Noon - 5 or 1 - 6 pm as per production needs. You may not be called to every rehearsal, but you will need to keep these times available. Sunday prior to opening rehearsal runsNoon - 10 p.m.
Regular show schedule: Wednesdays & Thursdays at7 pm; Friday nights at 8 pm; Saturday evenings at 6 pm and Sunday afternoons at 3 pm. There is one added Family/Student Matinee at 1 pm on the second Saturday of the run. .

This lost musical, not seen since its original Broadway run, features Dashiell Hammett's iconic Thin Man sleuths, Nick and Nora Charles, in 1930s Hollywood, a studio bookkeeper is murdered and everyone's a suspect. Can they solve the tricky case before cocktail time?

SPIDER MOLLOY — m, 30s – 40s An old contact of Nick’s, he watches. sees, and spills. Doubles as JUAN.

EDWARD CONNORS — m, 40s-50 Wealthy, Boston Back Bay banker. Handsome but rotten.

LILY CONNORS — f, 40s-50, Connors’ wife, also Back Bay, status is everything. Soprano.

MARIA VALDEZ — f, 20s, LATINA, An attractive nightclub entertainer who knows more than she lets on. Character Alto

YUKIDO — m, 30s Tracey’s Asian butler – he does it all for her. But did he do it? Baritone.

LT. WOLFE — m, 30s-50s Corrupt Hollywood cop with a stake in solving the murder

MSGR. FLAHERTY— This role is cast.
