A one to one and a half minute contemporary monologue. Singers should ALSO prepare 32 bars and bring sheet music in the correct key. Accompanist provided from 6 - 7:30 pm. Resume and headshot required.

Breakdown

Mary Moody Northen Theater announces an open call for the 2015-2016 mainstage season. This is the screening call, individual calls will follow for specific shows.
Principal roles are available in the following productions:
Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric Play by Anne Washburn
To Kill A Mockingbird by Christopher Segall, adapted from the novel by Harper Lee
The Government Inspector by Nikolai Gogol
She Loves Me, Book by Joe Masteroff, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, Music by Jerry Brock


Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric Play: Rehearsals begin 8/17, Performances 9/24 - 10/4/15
To Kill A Miockingbird: Rehearsals begin October 5, Performances November 12 - 22, 2015
The Government Inspector: Rehearsals begin January 4, Performances February 11 - 21, 2016
She Loves Me: Rehearsals Begin February 22. (No rehearsal March 14 - 20), Performances April 7 - 17, 2016.

Please note: Equity roles are available for resident actors only.
Actors who are unable to attend the open call should submit a resume and headshot to the theater .

BREAKDOWN:
Mr Burns: A post-electric play: 2 ensemble roles, as follows:
Female: Jenny/Marge/Marge - age range 30 - 50
Male: Matt/Homer/ Scratchy - age range 30 - 50


To Kill A Mockingbird:
Atticus Finch: A father of three (3) children, He is a tall, quietly impressive, ‘civilised’ man of nearly fifty. He wears glasses because of poor sight in his left eye and looks with his right when he wants to see something well. He acts as defence council for Tom Robinson.
Calpurnia: The black housekeeper who has helped to bring up Scout and Jem since their mother died.

The Government Inspector:
The Mayor's Wife: later 40s/early 50s. Used to a certain lifestyle and with expectations of maintaining such. Appreciates a fine-looking gentleman.
Hleskeatov - A young man (late 20s to 30), down on his luck. Smart, resourseful and fond of his own reflection.

She Loves Me:
LADISLAV SIPOS Not the brightest employee at Maraczek's Parfumerie. A confidant to Georg, he is an optimistic family man who looks like a huggable father.
Male, 45 yrs old
Range: A2 - E4
MR. MARACZEK Owner of Maraczek's Parfumerie. With a commanding presence, his dedication to the trade is rivaled only by his faithfulness to his wife.
Male, 55-65 yrs old
