Guest Artist Minimum - $552/wk

See breakdown. Guest Artist contracts anticipated from among the following roles; Joseph, Narrator, Pharoah, Jacob, Reuben.

PREPARATION

Please bring picture and resume. Bring sheet music in the style of the show, and in the proper key. Accompanist provided. No recorded music or acapella, please. Non-union please limit song to one minute.

Performances to take place at the Kavli Theatre, Bank of America Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, Thousand Oaks, CA. All roles are available. Adult roles limited to age 16 and up. There is pay for all roles ages 18 and up. Cabrillo Music Theatre strongly encourages all ethnicities to audition.

An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition.

SEEKING ALL ETHNICITIES FOR ALL ROLES!!

JOSEPH (to play 20s-30s) Male. Charming, charismatic, well-built, confident, idealistic dreamer. Very strong actor and vocalist with great emotional vulnerability. (Low A to High G)

NARRATOR Female. Powerful stage presence. Very strong vocalist. Storyteller. Wise. All ages and types will be considered. (Low F# to High G)

PHARAOH (to play 30s) Male. Regal. Iconic rock/pop star essence (ie Elvis, Michael Jackson, etc). Strong vocalist and dancer. May double as a brother. (Low B to High G#)

JACOB (to play 60+) Male. Patriarch. Fatherly, stately, but with a streak of arrogance and foolishness. Strong actor and vocalist. (Low A to C)

REUBEN (to play 40s) Male. Eldest of Jacob’s sons. Sings “Those Canaan Days.” French dialect. Strong actor, singer, dancer. (C to High Eb)

LEVI (to play 20s-40s) Male. Sings “One More Angel in Heaven.” Southern dialect. Strong actor, singer, dancer. (Low B to High F)

JUDAH (to play 20s-40s) Male. Sings “Benjamin Calypso.” Caribbean dialect. Strong actor, singer, dancer. (F to High F)

POTIPHAR (to play 40s) Male. Powerful and rich Egyptian capitalist. Ruthlessly unforgiving. Quick-tempered. Strong actor and vocalist. May double as brother. (D to B)

MRS. POTIPHAR (to play 30s) Female. Seductive. Self-gratifying. Very strong dancer.

BUTLER (to play 20s-40s) Male. Character actors. Strong vocals. Good mover.

BAKER (to play 20s-40s) Male. Character actors. Strong vocals. Good mover.

Ensemble: Men and Women (to play 18+) Dancers who can sing, of all types, who are extremely proficient in at least one of the following: hip hop, breaking, krumping, pop & lock, other forms of hip hop, and/or urban dance, to play Brothers, Wives, Egyptians, etc.

Children’s Chorus: Boys and Girls ages 7-12 who are strong singers.
