All auditioning actors should be well versed in movement, have some background in physical theatre and perhaps, performance art. ACTORS WITH PERCUSSIVE/DRUM TRAINING/EXPERIENCE/AFFINITY STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND. BRING YOUR DRUM!
PREPARATION
Please arrive with a headshot and resume, stapled together.
This is a highly experimental piece and all players should be well versed in physical theater and well equipped to go to the greatest depths of self in order to discover the play as an ensemble. Players should expect a strong physical process that is challenging and holistic. Individual process and group training will drive the objective of creating the play. Actors auditioning should read the play and prepare a selection from sides that will be provided. Visually impaired performers can request an advance copy of sides when making an audition appointment. Performers of all ethnic and racial background are encouraged to attend.

BREAKDOWN
Female 1:
Age 30 – 40 - Central character, female, representation of the playwright Sarah. NOTE: This role has been cast. Those auditioning may be considered as a possible understudy.
Female 2:
Age 40 and up – this actor will represent various medical figures in the life of the playwright, including her Mother and patients of the institution.
Female 3:
Age 20 and up - will represent various others in the life of the playwright (lover, friend), within the walls of the asylum and without. This character will have a modern dance background and will be responsible for several “dance” pieces within the performance.
