Please prepare a contemporary monologue (no TV/ Film) under 2 minutes in length.

Bring picture and resume, stapled together.

Expected to attend the EPA:
Jack Doulin and Taylor Sharky Williams - Times TBD: each may only be present half of the day.

BEN/ CHARLES:
Male, 40s. Any ethnicity. An often-working actor, who wrestles with career choices. Has been doing this for a long time, but still has the ability to be wounded by it all. Vulnerable

EVA/ MARIE:
Female, 20s-30s. Any ethnicity. Ingénue type. Young actress, a little insecure. Seeks encouragement from her peers. Youthful and excited but a little unstable

THE STAGE MANAGER:
Female, 30s-40s. Any ethnicity. Veteran stage manager, good at her job. Efficient and stern, strong type-A personality

JAMIE:
Female, early to mid-20s. Any ethnicity. The assistant stage manager. Feels like she is just out of grad school and very green. Still learning, eager

COSTUMES:
Female, 30s- 40s. Any ethnicity. Has been doing this job for a while, has a bit of an edge to her.

PAUL/ CARSTAIRS:
Role CAST. Male, 40s-50s. Any ethnicity. Working actor who has always committed himself fully to the theatre. Talented and temperamental

THE DIRECTOR:
Role CAST. Male, 40s-50s.Any ethnicity. Indecisive and easily frustrated. Constantly working through his vision

JAKE:
Role CAST. Male, 30s. Any ethnicity. Young, handsome actor who has made it “big.” Magnetic personality, but a nice guy and very polite
